NMBA runs a major social project—'The Home for Cancer Patients', which is aimed at providing affordable boarding and lodging facilities to cancer patients coming to Mumbai for treatment. The home has nine rooms with attached bath and toilet facilities.

The NMBA facility has been utilized by over 500 cancer patients from across the country, who have benefitted from the service and returned to normal life. NMBA has an in-house canteen facility to take care of nutritious food for the patients and their attendants or members of their families.
