The Navi Mumbai Bengali Association is a non-profit organization established and a registered trust in the year 1981 to promote the culture and traditions of Bengalis in and around Navi Mumbai.
- The Organization is registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs and obtained CSR Registration Certificate.
- It organises various activities, festivals and other events to bring the Bengali community together.
- The association provides accommodation and food support to the cancer patient since inception.
- Besides these initiatives, facilities to propagate the teaching and learning of music, art and dance have been set up within the premises.
- This helps in keeping the future generation deeply rooted in Indian culture traditions and art forms.

The association provides various health care services to the poor cancer patients who comes for Treatment at Mumbai Tata Memorial Center.
The Association is a vibrant hub that fosters an appreciation for Bengali culture and language in the region, while also extending a helping hand to those in need. Enthusiastically managed by a team of devoted volunteers, it boasts a strong membership base of over 2500 individuals, primarily hailing from Navi Mumbai and its neighboring areas.
At the heart of this community-driven organization are regular cultural and social events, along with enlightening events like Sharodotsav, Deepavali, Basant Panchami. Embracing a holistic approach, the Association dedicates space within its premises to Kathak, music, yoga, and tekwondo classes, enriching the lives of its members in diverse ways. Beyond its dynamic activities, the Association's compassionate spirit shines through in its support for various charitable endeavors and community upliftment projects.
Remarkably, this is all made possible through the collective strength of its membership, as the organization remains entirely self-sustained, without relying on any external financial resources.
Our “Vision”
Navi Mumbai is one of the cities in India having rapid growth in terms of population, housing, road connectivity and increasing number of elderly. This rapid urbanization having significant impacts on the elderly like lack of access to quality health care, limited housing options, increased levels of poverty and social isolation, and decreased levels of physical activity.
The issues of senior citizens are numerous and range from health care and financial security to social isolation and neglect Older adults are also more likely to experience social isolation due to living alone, physical limitations, lack of mobility, and health issues.
- The Navi Mumbai Bengali Association decided to start assisted living center for senior citizens with a perspective to engage the elderly as a community caring and supporting each other’s.
- The association wishes to start programs like health check-ups, affordable nutritional meals, counselling etc.
- Additionally, the association also offering social activities and volunteering opportunity to elderly and also transportation services for visiting various places in and around Navi Mumbai.

“Our vision is to make our Assisted Living facility into a “home away from home” for senior citizens irrespective of language, cast and creed. Through this center the association will ensure that every elderly will have dignified life full of happiness and good health. It is an appeal by the association to the society to support their initiative in developing an infrastructure in the form of assisted living center for senior citizens.”
